Located in the Upper River Arts District in Asheville, North Carolina, Joan Awake showcases a highly curated selection of works created by women artists, most of whom lost their studios and galleries in Hurricane Helene.
These works have story and meaning. Many implore us to broaden our perceptions and to acknowledge the innate value of the natural world , some implore us to live authentically, others are visual representations of science and nature.
